Advertising Policy

At Burlington County Footlighters, Inc. (BCF), we value our commitment to providing a creative and inclusive environment for the arts. To ensure that advertising aligns with our mission and values, we have established the following policy to govern the inclusion of advertisements in our programming and materials.

Control Over Advertising

  1. Approval Process: All advertisements must be submitted for review and approval by Burlington County Footlighters prior to inclusion in any of our materials or programming. BCF reserves the right to approve, reject, or request modifications to any advertisement at its sole discretion.
  2. Content Alignment: Advertisements must align with the mission and values of Burlington County Footlighters and must not include content that is offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inconsistent with our standards.
  3. Timing: BCF will make every effort to ensure advertisements are displayed during the requested show(s), series of shows, or specified period of time as outlined in the advertising request. Any changes to the timing must be mutually agreed upon by the advertiser and BCF.
  4. Advertisement Type: Advertisers may request specific types of advertisements, including but not limited to:
    1. Full-page advertisements
    2. Half-page advertisements
    3. Quarter-page advertisements
    4. Digital or physical placements (e.g., website banners, playbill inserts)

The type of advertisement will be confirmed during the agreement process and will adhere to BCF's formatting and placement standards.

  5. Intellectual Property Rights: By submitting an advertisement, advertisers grant BCF a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use their copyrighted materials, trademarks, logos, and any other intellectual property for the purpose of promoting and displaying the advertisement. This license is valid for the duration of the advertisement period and extends solely to materials and mediums agreed upon by both parties.

Advertisers warrant that they own or have secured all necessary rights and permissions for the use of their intellectual property in the advertisement. BCF assumes no liability for intellectual property disputes arising from the advertiser's content. Any unauthorized use of BCF's intellectual property by advertisers remains strictly prohibited without prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

  1. Advertiser Responsibility: Advertisers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and content of their advertisements. BCF assumes no liability for claims arising from advertisements, including but not limited to intellectual property disputes, false advertising claims, or regulatory compliance issues.
  2. Indemnification: Advertisers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Burlington County Footlighters, its board, staff, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or losses resulting from the publication of their advertisements.

Ethical Responsibility

  1. Non-Endorsement: Acceptance of an advertisement does not imply endorsement of the advertiser, their products, or their services by Burlington County Footlighters.
  2. Prohibited Content: Advertisements must not contain:
    • False, misleading, or deceptive claims.
    • Discriminatory or offensive content based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or disability.
    • Obscene, violent, or harmful content.
    • Any content that could be construed as hate speech or that violates applicable laws or community standards.
  3. Review Standards: BCF will periodically review its advertising content and reserves the right to withdraw any advertisement that is found to no longer meet the above criteria.

Policy Enforcement

  1. Modifications: BCF reserves the right to modify this policy at any time to reflect changes in organizational priorities or legal requirements.
  2. Dispute Resolution: In the event of a disagreement regarding advertising content or placement, BCF's decision is final and binding.
  3. Refund Policy: If an advertisement is not approved by BCF, any payments made by the advertiser for that specific advertisement will be fully refunded. Advertisers are encouraged to review the guidelines carefully before submission to minimize the risk of rejection.

By submitting an advertisement for consideration, advertisers agree to abide by the terms of this policy. This ensures that all advertisements contribute positively to the mission and integrity of Burlington County Footlighters.
